After our tour of the old town, we were treated to a private performance of the Moreska, an ancient tradition and in present day is only performed in Korcula. Locals from the island make up the troupe. It depicts a sword battle between two factions because the bad guys ( in black) kidnapped a princess from the good guys ( in red). The sword dance is very intricate and requires agility and perfect timing. It was a fascinating performance!
It was a lovely night out on the pool deck as our handsome ( and very French) captain, Patrick Marchesseau, introduced his main officers and key crew ( the chef and the activities director).
Champagne and hors d'oeuvres were served as we socialized. We then dined in the Deck 2 restaurant and shared a table with a couple from Canada.
